The holiday season is upon us, and so we here at the Utau Club have decided to do a secret Santa gift exchange!
This is my first time hosting one of these, so please bear with me!
For this exchange, there are three types of gifts you can ask for or offer: Art, Song, or Video.
How to Join
Private Message me CristalMomoStar With the following:
1) What you are willing to give as a gift (art, song, and/or video).
Even if you are only able to, for example, give art, you can still join. But please specify what you are willing to do, so you aren't sent to someone who only wants other things.
2) A Journal listing gifts you'd like in return.
I will send the journal you make to your secret Santa, so they can see your request directly.
The journal can be in your Sta.sh. It does not have to be a public journal
Rules for the Journal
You can ask for as many gifts as you'd like, but keep in mind your Secret Santa is only obligated to give you one gift. So it is recommended you order your gift requests from most to least desired.
Requesting things like a cover with cover art is considered a 2 part gift. You can request it, but your SS only has to do one part. As long as they either provide the cover, or the cover art, it will be considered a proper exchange. So be clear on what is most important to you.
Secret Santas are encouraged to go as all out as they wish. If You want to give more than one gift on your person's list, feel free to do so!
Provide as much information as possible for your requests. Character references for art, voices or models for songs and videos, etc.
You can ask for gifts of other Utau (for example, Teto), but please keep your requests Utau related.
Dates for the Exchange
You have until November 25th to join.
On November 26th I will send each participant a different participants' request journal.
All participants must finish their gift by December 31st
If the deadline is closing and you're worried you won't finish on time, please message me with an estimated time of completion. I'll let the person waiting for your gift know that there will be a delay.

Utau Secret Santa

Folder Change!
We're a club for UTAU, but we've always allowed vocaloid fanart as well so long as it went in its own folder. I realized today we didn't have the same courtesy for the other vocal synth software out there! At the same time I didn't want to get carried away and have a ton of non-UTAU folders, so I've changed the 'Vocaloid fanart' folder to 'Other Vocal Synth Fanart'. Put any fanart of vocaloid, CeVIO, Synth V, Sharpkey, A/E, etc. in there please! I've left it before the special folders because... Well, I can't quite seem to figure out how to move it to put it in its alphabetical spot ^^;
Anyway, Merry Christmas to all for whom it applies! Sup

About Recent Utau Theft
Even if you think this journal doesn't apply to you, I encourage everyone to take the time to read this. It's long, but it's also important.
Recently there have been reports of Utau theft in the community. I've seen some of the chaos first hand, and can confirm that some people in this group have been effected.
So I'd like to take this moment to address our group on how the situation should be handled. At least within the confines of DeviantArt.
Here are some useful tips and recommendations on how to handle an art thief:

Quick question, my UTAU's vb has a planned release date for December 1st but the vb itself is done. Should I send you a link to the download in the note, or just have whoever hypothetically gets me to wait till then to download it?
