UPDATE: Due to concerns of the legality of sharing the key from a couple of members, I took the key down. However you are still free to purchase the shareware version! Please try to resist the urge to google 'utau shareware code', after all, Ameya worked hard on creating the program for us, so show a little love back to her!
Ever notice there are a few features in UTAU that are a few features that are greyed out? Ever want to be able to toggle between CV and VCV lyrics with ease? Well here's something neat! UTAU has a shareware version with those features! Here's how to register to make your version of UTAU official! I really encourage you to buy it rather than googling utau shareware code to find the key. After all, this program brings us so much joy, let's give a little back to Ameya, right? This is the link to where you can buy it (it's only $29.42 USD): www.dlmarket.jp/products/detai… then you need to enter the code you get, here's how:
Go to Help>Enter Registration Key, then put the key into that box ^^ Here are some pictures in case that gets confusing:
A rundown of some of the features (the ones I know how to use):
If know I've missed a lot of features, but I don't know what they are! Please let me know so I can add it to this list!
Video that shows off some of its features: www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10397… (What's happening at 0:55....can anyone tell me? I don't know Japanese Looks like a very early version of UTAU too XD)
If you guys have any questions about anything let me know, okay?
Who knows, if we donate enough to Ameya, the holy creator of our dear program, maybe she'll even comeback and give us an update after two years...Just maybe...

Sorry honey, I agree with most people that you should take the link to the code down. It's not fair to Ameya. If I was in her shoes and people didn't donate, that would be horrible. I know she may have a day job, but that's still no excuse to deprive her of money that she earned or money that people want to give her.
I have taken the picture that links to the code off of this journal...but it's up to you what you want to do...
It's nice that you wanted to share it with others...but frankly...I don't think it's a thing you should be allowed to distribute...
I mean, maybe to one or two of your best friends, but net wide...I don't agree with...

Utau Secret Santa
Hello everyone,
Unfortunately this year I'll be unable to host a Secret Santa for the club- HOWEVER,
User Sofia-C (https://www.deviantart.com/sofia-c) is hosting an Utau themed Secret Santa of her own, which you can check out in her journal here:
:thumb821144900:
Please remember to be kind and respect any rules or deadlines laid out for the event- and most importantly have fun!
Folder Change!
We're a club for UTAU, but we've always allowed vocaloid fanart as well so long as it went in its own folder. I realized today we didn't have the same courtesy for the other vocal synth software out there! At the same time I didn't want to get carried away and have a ton of non-UTAU folders, so I've changed the 'Vocaloid fanart' folder to 'Other Vocal Synth Fanart'. Put any fanart of vocaloid, CeVIO, Synth V, Sharpkey, A/E, etc. in there please! I've left it before the special folders because... Well, I can't quite seem to figure out how to move it to put it in its alphabetical spot ^^;
Anyway, Merry Christmas to all for whom it applies! Sup
Secret Santa!
Hello everyone!
Due to various events in real life, this season I'm afraid the Utau Club won't be hosting an official Secret Santa.
However
user Sofiia-C (https://www.deviantart.com/sofiia-c) is hosting an Utau based SS of her own.
If you're looking for something to do this year that's fun, giving, and even inspiring, then you might want to consider joining!
Check it out if you're interested:

About Recent Utau Theft
Even if you think this journal doesn't apply to you, I encourage everyone to take the time to read this. It's long, but it's also important.
Recently there have been reports of Utau theft in the community. I've seen some of the chaos first hand, and can confirm that some people in this group have been effected.
So I'd like to take this moment to address our group on how the situation should be handled. At least within the confines of DeviantArt.
Here are some useful tips and recommendations on how to handle an art thief:
1) Report the user to DeviantArt. If the stolen content is yours, and you can provide proof, DeviantArt will take actio
