UPDATE 4: How is this new system of keeping track of the entries? Are the mentions driving you nuts? Do you even get notified when an update or something hits? Any and all feedback would be appreciated ^^

UPDATE 3: From now on I'll be including this copy-pasted messages whenever somebody asks a question that's answered in the journal. 'Please review the rules stated in the journal. If you missed this rule you may have missed something else!' Please don't take it as rude, but it just makes things easier for everybody. People keep asking what the theme is, and what songs are allowed to be submitted. They also continue to submit 5 entries at once, so please don't take it personally, but if you're asking questions about something clearly stated, you could be missing something else. That's all I'm trying to avoid. So please don't be angry with me for this message, I'm only trying to point you in the right direction in case you've missed something else.

UPDATE 2: Sorry for any confusion that this new rule may have caused, but you don't HAVE to submit 5 >< Especially not all at once. The reason we have so many available is in case you make a better one later, so I suggest you wait and submit one at a time. You have 2 months, and that's a long time for you to refine your skills.

Welp, it's that time again! But first, there are a couple of new rules.

Only 5 submissions. It's not normally a problem, but there are a few people who will submit WAAAY to many. 5 songs should give you enough wiggle room in case you produce a better cover in time. If you hit the limit, and make an upgraded version YOU MUST edit your old comment to take away one of your old entries and notify us about it in a new comment.

If you were a winner last time, we ask that you sit this round out and join again next contest. This hasn't yet become a problem, however we now have 1,116 members ((wow!! Thanks so much you guys~!)) and I'd hate for the contests to become monopolized by one or two UTAUs. It's a preventative measure. Sorry...I look forward in your participation in the winter contest though!

Now for the regular rules~!

PLEASE read the rules before you ask questions! If you didn't understand something or missed something when you read it, don't worry, I'm not going to eat you, but please at least try!

As usual prizes are only available if someone donates them so please do! So anyway, for this contest all you have to do is submit YOUR utau singing a song that could be sung in fall/autumn! If you can't find any fall-sounding songs don't sweat it! Just submit your utau singing any ol' song. You won't be penalized for it what so ever! I just wouldn't go entering Winter Alice or songs that are for other specific seasons, but again even if you do submit that song no penalties! It's just nice to have a theme. Do me a favor and post your entry in this JOURNAL. Not through a note or on the club's profile. We've almost forgotten about an entry a couple of times due to multiple posting places, so please post it in the journals relating to the contest, preferably this'n. You can submit your utau singing up to 5 songs, but you'll only win once. 5 should give you enough wiggle room in case you produce a better cover in time. If you hit the limit, and make an upgraded version YOU MUST edit your old comment to erase one of your old entries and notify us about it in a new comment. If you can't post it on youtube post a download link to the song and I'll take care of it from there. Soundcloud is another good option.

Now, about duets. If you do a duet with somebody else's utau/even a vocaloid they have to be on HARMONY. There are some exceptions. For example in the song Antichlorobenzene let's say the Rin is your utau and Len is someone else's ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfkn9F… ) at 2:11 Len has a little solo part. That would be fine since the song is primarily sung by Rin. If you have two utaus that both belong to you singing a duet, that would also be fine! If you have any questions on this or you aren't sure if it would count, don't be afraid to ask me! You could send me a note, comment here, comment on the club's profile, my profile, anywhere I can see it and I'll let you know! Don't worry about favoritism because our judge

doesn't have an utau herself so she doesn't have a ring of utau friends like most of us do, so there's no bias! On the other hand, this also means that she is NOT familiar with the mechanics of utau, and will not be able to recognize the signs of a bad UST, so choose carefully! Original songs are ALWAYS welcome~!

Before and after the due date I always get the same thing. "I didn't have time to make a PV," or "I hope I don't loose because of the artwork!" That's not even a factor! The contest is based on VOCALS ONLY so it's not going to affect your entry at all.

Deadline: Sunday, November 23rd. That should be plenty of time. If you have a problem with this date, please let me know and we'll see what we can do.
